the ZENSKIN story
I'm Sabina, and my handsome husband is Gary. We are an odd (but wonderful) mix of true New Mexico Southwest meets true Georgia South. Almost everything about us is different, which makes our day-to-day life an adventure - no matter where we are, or what we are doing!

We are indeed "older" parents of two crazy but awesome (and quite unexpected) kiddos. They make our life a little "challenging" at times - but that's pretty all right with us!
But the ZENSKIN story began quite some time ago. I stated my adventure in cold process soapmaking back in 1996. It began as just a hobby, but not long after, became a *business* craft. Selling at local farmer's and crafts markets - I kept myself pretty busy with soaping - all the way up until I became a "career girl". ZENSKIN had to be set aside.

ZENSKIN has been (I suppose you could say) reborn over and over again throughout the years, as time has allowed. And this "time" has given me the opportunity to perfect my craft. I've had the ability to time-test dozens and dozens of personal one-of-a-kind recipes, and pick and choose (scrutinize, really) which recipes have proven to be the best - for myself, my family, and hopefully as well - for others.

I take a GREAT deal of pride in my work, and in my TEENY TINY Micro-Batch methods. And therefore NO, I'm neither a "big company" nor a "big producer". Micro-Batching is what I do best, and it's what I love. So, my little family and I would love to welcome you to tag along, and experience the true "ZEN" of handcrafted, handmade, and TRUE artisan soapworks!
